Synopsis

The story begins in 1985. Marcel, a 60 years old ex-actor-producer and semi-alcoholic womaniser who is living retired in the country wakes up to two sobering facts. First, his wife has been gone for nine days – which he hadn’t noticed – and second, some bad investments have left him flat broke. That’s when he decides to go to Montreal to find his old cronies: Lady Moon, a 60-something drag-queen in mourning; Lucie, also 60, a sassy comedian; and Roger, 55, a greasy-haired and rather racy crooner, in order to enroll them in a new show. After some discussion, all three are willing to embark on this “Revival Show” adventure... under one condition. They insist that Marcel hire his son Pedro.

However, Marcel and Pedro do not get along. Among other points of disagreement, they do not share the same vision of populist theatre. When it all boils down, Marcel’s barn will be the stage of a play about Heritage, opposing Burlesque tradition and New theatre. At the same time, exceptional circumstances will force each and every one to revisit their ideas of Friendship, Filial Love – and even their concept of Family.
